INITIAL VISIT
You may feel nervous when you are not sure what to expect. This page will navigate you through your initial visit to help you prepare!

The initial assessment is approximately 30-45 minutes.
STEP 1 HISTORY:
Questions Related to Your Health
The appointment starts off with a history-taking portion where I will get to know you and ask you questions related to your lifestyle and different areas of your health such as:
A description of the area(s) of concern.
Personal and family medical history.
Current medications or pain management strategies.
ETC.


STEP 2 PHYSICAL EXAMINATION:
A head to toe assessment

Posture
Range of motion
Movement Patterns: Squats, Sitting to Standing, etc.
Additional tests to determine the cause of your pain or dysfunction.
(Blood Pressure/ Heart Rate)

STEP 3 REPORT OF FINDINGS:
Explaining Diagnosis & Treatment Plan
I will then explain the diagnosis and suggest a suitable treatment plan to help you reach your goals. We will also discuss the potential length of time for recovery and I will make suggestions to enhance recovery time.

(Only if necessary)
Depending on the type and severity of the injury we may request imaging such as x-rays or get in touch with your medical doctor to take a collaborative approach in treating the area of concern.
